Wow, that was so big of her! Serena Williams gave her ENTIRE title winnings- $43,000- to relief funds to fight the fires in Australia. It was her 73rd title, won at the ASB Classic Match in New Zealand. She said, "I've been playing Australia for over 20 years and it's been really hard for me to watch all the news and everything that's been happening in Australia for with the fires. So I decided that I would donate all my prize money for a great cause."
She's not the only celebrity to donate- Chris Hemsworth, Elton John, Nicole Kidman, Pink, Lizzo and Kylie Jenner have all also donated. Here's a link of resources if you'd like to donate, too!
