Bullied 9-year-old Boy Gives Away Half a Million Dollars and Disney Trip

The bullied Australian boy seen in a viral video, has snatched the heart of the world. Quaden Bayles, a "young" boy born with achondroplasia, has a genetic disorder causing dwarfism and was being bullied for it. Bayles' "mother," Yarraka Bayles, filmed him on a Facebook live asking for the bullying the end.

The mother goes on to explain that she just picked her son up at school and witnessed a bullying episode. She adds, "I want people to know, parents, educators, teachers, this is the effect that bullying has. This is what bullying does."

Ever since, a GoFundMe was launched by comedian Brad Williams, in effort to send Quaden to Disneyland. The $10,000 goal has been far surpassed and now has reached a whopping $466,000. Bayles and his mother have thanked everyone for their charitable contributions, however, they refused the money. Instead, they've asked for the money to go to charity.

“We want the money to go to community organizations that really need it,” said Quaden’s aunt, Mundanara Bayles.

Yarraka says that she is turning away the money to keep the attention on the issues at hand - bullying.

“This little fella has been bullied,” Mundanara said. “How many suicides, black or white, in our society happened due to bullying?”

The family would like to give the money to Dwarfism Awareness Australia, the Balunu Healing Foundation and two other charities that they believe could use the money most, Global News reports.

“We need to come together and work out how to make sure young people like Quaden don’t have to deal with what they have been dealing with,” Mundanara said.

“What kind of kid wouldn’t want to go to Disneyland, especially if you have lived Quaden’s life.”

“Much as we want to go to Disneyland, I think our community would far off benefit from [the money].”
