New England Patriots Jet Brings Over 1 Million N95 Masks From China

The New England Patriots' team jet is doing wonderful things!

In Shenzhen, China, they picked up 1.2 million N95 masks to bring back to Massachusetts to help to continue fighting the coronavirus.

The plane was dispatched by the team owner, Robert Kraft, and his son and team president, Jonathan Kraft. The jet was permitted on the tarmac for only a few hours so workers covered in full-body suits could load the equipment. The National Guard was set to transport the masks.

Kraft said “In today’s world, those of us who are fortunate to make a difference have a significant responsibility to do so with all the assets we have available to us.”

Governor Charlie Baker posted a photo on Twitter of the teams' jet and said “No days off. Thanks to some serious teamwork, Massachusetts is set to receive over 1 million N95 masks for our front-line workers. Huge thanks to the Krafts and several dedicated partners for making this happen.”

The Governor pledged to send 300,000 of the N95 masks to New York.

Baker and Chinese manufacturers had made an acquisition deal prior and Kraft stepped in to help with transportation.
