Demi Lovato Launches Free Mental Health Initiative

Because why wouldn't she? One of the MANY reasons I adore Demi Lovato- her honesty with her own struggles, and her willingness to help. On Instagram, she launched "The Mental Health Fund," saying, "So many have been left alone with their thoughts, their anxieties, their abusers- and are struggling with the uncertainty of these times. That's why I'm launching The Mental Health Fund- to support organizations who are meeting the increased demand in crisis counseling counseling due to Covid-19."

It's a free service- you can text or make a donation to those in need by texting SHARE to 741741. (In the U.S.) I myself am also VERY passionate about mental health- the protection of it, and the discussion of it. There shouldn't be a stigma. In fact, a couple weeks ago I was at my lowest of lows with depression/anxiety and stress, and I reached out to my therapist and had a phone conversation that DAY. It was exactly what I needed. Sometimes you don't know how much you need support until you finally felt "heard,' safe, and validated. So, I am grateful to all the mental health providers, and also all the brave individuals who are willing to be honest and transparent with their struggles.

Sending you love,
