Officials are aiming for a safe reopening of Los Angeles County as early as the Fourth of July! If this is true, bring on the fireworks.
According to supervisor Kathryn Barger, she expressed a goal for reopening on July 4th during a meeting with the LA Economic Resiliency Task Force. In the latest news release, she stated "The economic and sociological impacts created by the COVID-19 shutdown have hurt our vulnerable populations the most. The County, in partnership with our Task Force members and key stakeholders, is prepared to move forward with recommendations that ensure the safety and well-being of employees and customers while safeguarding public health."
As of Monday, Gov. Newsom explained how the state will move into further reopening for hair salons and future sporting events. Remember, as of right now restrictions on dining in at restaurants and other services are still in place.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think Los Angeles will open back up on July 4th?
