Here's Where You Can Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Southern California

Last year, many fireworks shows and events were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but as California ditches mask mandates and eases health restrictions, many cities and companies are choosing to host their events for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.

Here are a few of the events that will be held around Southern California.

In Los Angeles County:

Burbank's 4th of July Fireworks Display:

Starlight Bowl. 1249 Lockheed View Drive, Burbank

Festivities from 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Burbank canceled the July 4 live performance, however, residents are being invited to watch a fireworks show that will launch from the Starlight Bowl space. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and the fireworks at 9 p.m.

City of Calabasas 4th of July Hometown Celebration

Calabasas High School

This is a ticketed event - Admission is $10 in advance. You can purchase tickets from the following locations:

  • Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center, 23400
  • Park Sorrento (8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday solely);
  • Juan Bautista de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road (9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday).

City of Camarillo Park & Watch Fireworks Show

Camarillo Premium Outlets Parking Lots

740 E. Ventura Blvd.

Camarillo, CA

While admission is free for this show, it's important to note that parking will be first come, first serve. Parking spaces can't be reserved and road closures around the area will go into effect at 8:45 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. and will last about 20 minutes. LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park

Cal State University, Dominguez Hills

18400 Avalon Blvd

Carson, CA

Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. following the game. Tickets can be purchased for $27 and more.

City of Glendale – Jewel City Sparkles Fireworks Show:

La Crescenta Elementary School, 2800 Prospect Ave., La Crescenta

Festivities from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. No tickets are required for this event. People can also watch the fireworks from Brand Blvd and Harvard Street. The Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

Long Beach's 4th of July Fireworks Show

Residents can watch the show from free viewing areas along Shoreline Village (429 Shoreline Village Dr.), Lions Lighthouse for Sight (200 Aquarium Way), and Rainbow Harbor (450 E Shoreline Dr.). Harbor Breeze Cruises is also offering ticketed boat rides for spectators.

Hollywood Bowl Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular

Los Angeles, CA

Join Kool & the Gang as the disco funk group plays their hits on Independence Day. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

Marina del Rey - July 4th at the Marina

People can view the free fireworks show from Burton Chace Park or at Fisherman's village. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. More details can be found here.

Pasadena - AmericaFest on the Rose Bowl

1001 Rose Bowl Drive,

Pasadena, CA

Parking opens at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The event begins at 7:00 p.m.

People can also view the show along the Colorado Street Bridge as well as garage rooftops in Old Pasadena.

Palisades Fireworks Spectacular:

15777 Bowdoin Street

Gates open at 8 p.m. with the fireworks show starting at 9 p.m. People are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on as chairs will not be allowed. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance here.

Santa Clarita - Spirit of America Fireworks Spectacular

Magic Mountain Parkway and Citrus Street.

This free show begins at 9:15 p.m. More details can be found here.

Santa Fe Springs - Salute to America Concert and Fireworks Show

Los Nietos Park

Sat. July 3 at 9 p.m.

Woodland Hills - Councilman Bob Blumenfield's July 4th Extravaganza

Warner Park

5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367

This free show begins at 6 p.m. and features Ticket to Ride and Illunis. The free concert will be followed with a 15-minute fireworks show display. Over 20 local restaurants will be on hand as well as local arts and crafts vendors selling their goods. There is a charge for parking. More details can be found here.

Orange County

Huntington Beach - 2021 Fireworks Over the Ocean at the Huntington Beach Pier

City of Orange - 26th Annual '3rd of July' Celebration

Grijalva Park

368 North Prospect St.,

Check the date! This family-friendly event actually takes place on July 3rd. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the event begins with inflatable slides, games and children's activities. Local nonprofits host food trucks. Around 8 p.m., the Orange Community Master Chorale performs with the grand finale patriotic fireworks salute to America. More details can be found here.

City of Los Alamitos - Drive-Up 4th of July

Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base

Los Alamitos, CA 90720

The event will entail a drive-up and view format of the fireworks show that will begin approximately at 9:00 p.m. Organizers are warning people who wish to attend that they expect a high volume of vehicles and a check-in procedure will be in place. The check-in procedure will include an I.D. check and health screenings for all individuals inside each vehicle. Mission Viejo - The July 4th Fireworks Spectacular

Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park

Festivities begin at 7 a.m. and will go on all day. The Fireworks show is scheduled for 9 p.m. More details can be found here.

In San Bernardino County

City of Upland - Light up the Night firework show

Sunday, July 4. Show begins at 9 p.m. Residents are encouraged to look up toward the northwestern skies from their homes to enjoy a 15 to 20 minute fireworks display that will be launched from the grounds of Holliday Rock.

City of Victorville - 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

The city will stage their show at the Victorville Fairgrounds. Spectators will be able to park and watch from the main fairgrounds parking lot to view the show.

Lake Arrowhead - The Arrowhead Lake Association's 2021 Lake Arrowhead Fireworks Show

This show begins at 9 p.m.

Apple Valley Fireworks

Lenny Brewster Sports Center,

21024 Otoe Rd.

Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

In Ventura County

Thousand Oaks - 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

The fireworks show will take place on the hill behind the Hillcrest Center of the Arts in Thousand Oaks and will begin at 9 p.m.

In Riverside County

Corona - Main Street USA Independence Day Parade

Corona - Santana Park

The parade begins at 9 a.m.

Riverside - The City of Riverside Parks

The city's free event displays an array of fireworks at two separate locations which include La Sierra Park (5215 La Sierra Ave.) and Ryan Bonaminio Park (5000 Tequesquite Ave). Participants are encouraged to bring their own blankets and refreshments. Access will not be permitted in La Sierra and Carlson Dog Park all day on Sunday, July 4 after 7 a.m.
