With four children, Hilary Duff is a pro when it comes to being a mom, but her newest addition is keeping her on her toes in a new and unexpected way.
The Lizzie McGuire alum welcomed fourth child, daughter Townes, in May, her third with husband Matthew Koma, with whom she also shares daughters Banks, 6, and Mae, 3. She is also a mom to 12-year-old son Luca, who she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
Speaking to People, Duff revealed that the 7 month old is a bit different than her other kids, calling her the "chillest" baby she's had. While the rest of the household is "chaotic," Duff said her youngest child "doesn't feed off of that chaos" and instead "just sits there and watches it all go by."
"She's a really good baby. She just started sleeping through the night, which is incredible. She just is the chillest one," she said. "I don't know if it took me having four ids to get a chill one, or if I'm more chill. I can't figure out which one it is, but she just goes along for the ride."
Townes' relaxed personality has seemingly rubbed off on her mom, as Duff has learned a calmer approach to parenting. The "So Yesterday" singer recalled a time where she trusted her instincts when Townes took a bite of quiche at a friend's house and started "choking a little" before quickly getting it under control herself.
"Naturally, I'd be panicked, and now I'm waiting, waiting, 'Oh good, you worked it out.' You know what I mean?" she said. "There's just a coolness to me, finally, on the fourth kid that makes life a lot more tolerable right now."
