She may be the Queen of Christmas, but even Mariah Carey faces her own holiday struggles.
The "All I Want For Christmas Is You" singer took to her Instagram on Thursday (December 19) to share a hilarious video of her struggling to wrap a present. Carey showed off her holiday style in a fluffy white monogramed robe as she attempted to gift wrap a pair of white faux fur earmuffs embroidered with her initials without a box.
As she sliced through a roll of gold paper emblazoned with a red "M," leaving behind a jagged edge as she admonished how big the scissors were, she admitted that "this is really, really not my thing." Carey added that she has no problem buying the gifts but she just "[doesn't] want to be the one to have to do this," clarifying that it's "not because I think I'm above gift wrapping" but "because I'm not good at it."
The "Fantasy" hitmaker eventually got there in the end — sort of — crumpling up the edges and taping down the sides before adding a ribbon on top of the present. She at least tried her best, and really it's the thought that counts, right?
"Wrapping gifts is NOT as easy as it looks!!" she wrote in the caption.
Fans shared their support in the comments, expressing how "relatable" her wrapping struggles were and offering their own suggestions, including fully giving up on trying to wrap the gift.
"Mariah, dahling, if u don't put that in a gift bag and call it a day 😂😂" one commenter wrote, while another joked, "They did you dirty, having you wrap ear muffs with no box to put them in."
