With people all over the country traveling for summer vacations, this announcement from the TSA is big news.
As it were, the only portable electronic devices that needed to be removed from carryon luggage during the screening process were laptops, and anything bigger than laptops (i.e. gaming consoles, projectors, etc.).
But the TSA will now require passengers to remove anything bigger than a cell phone. That's right-- kindles, iPads, tablets, all that stuff now needs to come out of your bag and be put in a separate bin to go through security.
Leave EXTRA time before your next flight! This new rule could mean extra delays as TSA agents get used to the new screening process.
