Sometimes the most beautiful thank-yous come from the heart.
Rock icon Stevie Nicks has donated $3 million to the Keck School of Medicine at USC in honor of her longtime voice doctor, Dr. Joseph Sugerman, the specialist who has helped care for her voice throughout decades of touring, recording, and performing. Her gift helped establish the Stevie Nicks and Joseph Sugerman, MD, Endowed Chair in Otolaryngology, supporting the future of vocal medicine and research.
Nicks says that through late nights on the road and countless hours in the studio, she always knew she could count on Dr. Joe Sugerman to help keep her voice healthy. Now she's making sure his legacy will continue helping others for generations to come.
We often celebrate the stars on stage, but behind every great performer are people quietly making a difference. This generous gift is a reminder that gratitude never goes out of style—and that honoring those who help us shine may be one of the greatest gifts of all.
