Tony the Tiger and the Milky Bar Kid may be getting banned in Britain's MPs group, claiming they promote child obesity.
According to BBC, MPs says they want to ban any "brand-generated characters or licensed TV and film characters" who promote foods high in fat, sugar or salt and then broadcast the promotion on broadcast and non-broadcast media.
This would mean Kellogg's Tony the Tiger and Nestle's Milky Bar Kid would have get the boot or would have to become a mascot for healthier food items.
Food characters like Jolly Green Giant would still be allowed to promote veggies since it's a healthy food option.
Do you think food characters help promote child obesity?
