Police Ask Residents To Refrain From Crime Until Heat Wave Passes

Well this is.... different.

Police in Braintree, Massachusetts asked people to hold off on criminal activity until the heatwave passes.

They've complained that it's just too hot out!

The Braintree Police Department put their request into a Facebook request.

According to the post, they wrote "It is straight up hot as soccer balls out there."

The department even confirmed to CNN that they were being serious about the post due to the heat.

Since this past weekend was supposed to reach 102 degrees, it was expected to feel even worse.

Braintree police stated that temperature was just too hot for lawbreaking.

The post continued to read "Stay home, blast the AC, binge Stranger Things season 3, play with the face app, practice karate in your basement," police said. "We will all meet again on Monday when it's cooler."
