Apple is warning looters with stolen iPhones that they are being tracked!
As the protests continue, Apple among other retailers have seen its fair share of attacks and now is taking action to protect their staff and prevent further damage.
The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook sent a message to his employees that said "there is a pain deeply etched in the soul of our nation and in the hearts of millions. To stand together, we must stand up for one another, and recognize the fear, hurt, and outrage rightly provoked by the senseless killing of George Floyd and a much longer history of racism.”
It's unlikely any of these devices will be returned to stores, which of course isn't the point but once they turn the stolen iPhone's on, the device will say "This device has been disabled and is being tracked, Local authorities will be alerted.”
