Get ready for the chills from hearing Jennifer Hudson sing "Respect" in the new Aretha Franklin biopic trailer.
It starts off with Hudson in a shimmering gold dress belting out one of Franklin's iconic songs and the words lit up behind her in giant letters.
The film will be released for a limited time on December 25th, 2020 and will have a wide release on January 15th, 2021. It follows the story of Aretha Franklin from her days singing in church to an adulthood of fame.
It stars Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Tate Donovan, Heather Headley, Skye Dakota Turner, and Mary J. Blige.
