Balboa Island
The boardwalk by itself should be reason to dress up and talk a walk on a cool Autumn evening, but do it on Halloween night and you are sure to enjoy all the homes decked out with vampires, skeletons and ghosts to get you in the spooky-spirit. Bring the little ones down Marine Ave for more spookey decor and businesses all hand out candy to keep it safe and fun! Parking gets packed, so go early and don't skip on the Grim Reaper at Balboa Island Medical Clinic!
Old Towne Orange
The Circle and Orange is a PERFECT backdrop for Halloween! The beautiful Victorian style homes are set up with spooky decorations, AND the owners all dress up in scary costumes and host parties on their front lawns. This is really fun for kids that can handle walking for an hour or more by themselves as each homeowner reports handing out over 2,000 pieces of candy each year! The walk between Orange and Harwood Streets should turn out to be most rewarding.
Fountain Valley
Fountain Valley turns Halloween in to an entire city affair. The residents, specifically at Magnolia and Nightingale have been notorious for picking a theme each year. You'll be sure to get lots of haunts, tricks AND treats! Start on Magnolia and head West on Nightingale.
Trabuco Road
Nestled in one of the nation's safest cities, you will have no trouble bringing your little ones to trick or treat here! Plus, lots of the tech employees live here, so you can bet this affluent neighboorhood hands out great candy! Put your walking shoes on. There is a lot of ground to cover!
West Katella Avenue
This is Disneyland territory....so, DUH! It's going to be amazing! Not only do every house hand out candy, but the must see attraction is The Empty Grave, a maze and haunted house that will definitely give you the creeps enough to go home and count that candy. Local businesses also hand out candy if you'd like to keep it young kiddo friendly!
