Twitter's Funniest Reactions To Maroon 5's Super Bowl Halftime Show

When Maroon 5 was announced to be the NFL's Super Bowl LIII halftime-show performers, many fans were excited to see what the band had in store. Rumors were flying weeks before the performance that a fan-favorite SpongeBob Squarepants song would be incorporated into the set, special guests would join them on stage and more unannounced surprises could hold center stage. Although the bands 14 minute February 3rd set did get a positive reception from many viewers on social media, some could not help but hilariously express their thoughts. I think we can all agree that Maroon 5 are world class performers, so this is all in good fun!

Check out some of the funniest reactions that went viral this Super Bowl Sunday!

During the set Maroon 5 knocked out some of their highly successful fan-favorites "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," "She Will Be Loved" among others. Following some SpongeBob Squarepants clips, Travis Scott was introduced to perform his hit "Sicko Mode" before stage diving into the crowd. Next came Big Boi rolling into the arena in style, wearing a thick fur coat as he performed his hit "The Way You Move."

Although Cardi B declined to join her collaborators on-stage this go-around, Adam Levine and the band invited a gospel choir out to perform their recent hit 'Girls Like You.' The show closed out as Adam ripped off his tank top and sang "Sugar" and "Moves Like Jagger."

For the most part, it seemed like those watching had a good time singing along to Maroon 5's hits but were miffed about being teased with an extended Sponge Bob Squarepants halftime show segment. The aquatic animated character did make an appearance, but only briefly. Otherwise, another amazing half-time show is down in the books!
