Every year, Sarah Hobson loves dressing up for Halloween with her family. But coming up with a costume for herself and her seven dogs can be a challenge!
She said “Every year we dress up the dogs for Halloween and do a photo shoot. The dogs are now so used to it that when we say the words ‘photo shoot’ the dogs all jump to attention because they know they are about to get some treats!” Haha! I think that's the cutest thing I've ever heard!
Her dogs range in breed and in age. She has everything from as small as a Chihuahua mix to as big as a black Labrador. And their age's range from 6 to 12 years old. Since she has so many dogs, picking a costume to reflect all of their personalities seemed impossible until she was hit with the perfect idea. And that perfect idea was 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!' She said "It was too perfect to pass up!”
Hobson went out and bought fabric to hand-make all of her dog's costumes. Her mother-in-law helped with crating the designs and then they both got to work! She said “The hard part was just sewing everything and making sure it fit everyone. The dogs at this point are used to costume fittings so if treats are visible ... they have no problem sitting still and letting us size everything just right.” These dogs sounds absolutely wonderful!
Hobson took the time to match each of her dogs perfectly to a dwarf. She said “People think we are crazy for having seven dogs and who knows? Maybe they are right. But we love our time with them and wouldn’t trade it for anything."
