Fitness Instagrammer, Maxx Chewning, wanted to celebrate his dog, Dood's, first birthday in a big way.
Not only did he want his pup to have a special day, but he also wanted his entire Texas town to know about it!
Chewning thought of a brilliant way to spread the news, he rented an electronic billboard for the day and put Dood’s big smiling face on it.
Chewning said that “The billboard company had never heard of anything like this and they were excited for something creative and fun to be on their digital screen."
Since pupper Dood came into Chewning's life, the two have been attached at the hip. Chewning said “I think getting Dood was probably one of the best things I’ve done in my life and he brings a lot of happiness to my day ... that I didn’t know that I needed." “Dood is a very energetic puppy who loves to be around people as much as possible. He goes with me everywhere I go, and I bring him to work every day.”
When Dood's first birthday finally arrived, Chewning filmed it all from start to finish to share with his followers. It started off with a Starbucks Puppuccino and then they stopped by the billboard. In the video Chewning said “Look at that, Dood! Everyone’s so happy to see your face up there.” Then they played some fetch and Dood enjoyed some dog-friendly birthday cake. Dood also got to pick out whatever he wanted from the pet store.
