See's Candies Has Suspended Production & Shipping

See's Candies holds a special place in my heart. It's one of my mom's absolute favorites and she passed her love for it down to me!

The company announced that they will be halting all candy production, suspending online orders, and temporarily closing its shops due to coronavirus and concern for their employee's health.

The beloved candy shop has been open since 1921 and this is only the second time in its 99-year history they've had to close doors and halt production. The first time See's had to do this was due to rationing during WWII.

See's Candies put out a statement that reads "Please know that we did not make this decision lightly. In addition to making the best candy you can find, we seek to have the best customer service. So, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding, as our contact center is temporarily closed. We will work to keep you updated as we develop plans to safely resume operations."

The company is issuing customers refunds on already existing orders between 7-14 days.

In the meantime, See's is asking their fans to reminisce and share their favorite memories associated with the company. You can send yours by email to stories@sees.com.
