The Best Places To Online Grocery Shop Right Now

Staying at home is crucial, now more than ever, to keep yourself and others safe from the coronavirus pandemic.

It's important to limit how often you're going to the grocery store. In the next two weeks, the pandemic is expected to get worse all across the country. So having groceries and other goods delivered can literally help save your life!

There are a few grocery store delivery services that are here to help. Keep in mind deliveries are experiencing a high demand but orders are still being fulfilled on delayed schedules.

Here's a breakdown of some grocery delivery services and what they have to offer!

FreshDirect has a wide selection of fresh produce, meats, packaged foods and cleaning supplies! Due to high demand, product selection is limited to the items families need most right now. They're also looking to hire more employees! FreshDirect's delivery is contact free, too!

Postmates is mainly known for takeout, but did you know you can also have groceries and alcohol delivered, too? Select locations have a "Fresh" tab that shows all of the grocery delivery options near you. Postmates also offers a no-contact delivery on all orders.

Thrive Market delivers organic products to your door! You have to have a membership for grocery orders, but they deliver at a lower cost than some other vendors and charge $69 for an annual membership fee. They also offer free carbon-neutral shipping on orders over $49. Due to high demand, it is suggested that you place orders 1-2 weeks in advance.

Peapod is a delivery service that's owned and operated by Stop & Shop. Due to safety concerns, Peapod has suspended the grocery pick-up option and is only offering delivery.

Instacart lets you choose from several local grocers to do your shopping! That often times includes retailers like Ralphs, Sprouts, Aldi's, Albertsons, Stater Bros, and more. You choose a store, add desired items to your cart, and then an Instacart employee will shop your list for you and leave your items at your door...contact free! Like many other grocer delivery services, they are in high demand so place your order a few days ahead of time.

Shipt delivers products from local grocery stores and other retailers like Petco. It's available in over 200 cities! To use Shipt you have to be a member which costs either $14 per month or $99 per year. They're offering no-contact delivery and have opened up more time slots due to demand.

Boxed lets you shop wholesale without leaving your home! The company has a private label called Prince & Spring, but you can also get your Costco favorites (without a Costco membership) like Kirkland products and more! Due to high-demand, it's recommended to place your order about four days in advance.
