The 4th of July is just a couple days away and that means lots of fireworks!
If you have a pet, you know how scared they can get from all the big booms.
July 5th is one of the busiest days for animal shelters since some pets run away out of fear.
Here are 4 things you can do to protect your furry friends this holiday:
- Microchip them- If they get lost, you have a much higher chance of finding them!
- Use your pet ID tag wisely – Don’t waste space with a pet’s name or your name and address. Instead, put as many phone numbers as you can on an ID.
- Talk to your vet about anti-anxiety meds– They can treat noise phobia in pets.
- Keep your pet secure at home- Turn on some classical music or a calming playlist to relax them. There's even special playlists made just for dogs and helping them relax!
