Disney Just Released A ‘Hocus Pocus’ Game

With Halloween just a couple months away, it's time to start getting spooked!

The Sanderson sisters are the queens of Halloween and Hocus Pocus now has its very own game!

Now, this isn't your typical, old fashioned board game. Players work together to accomplish the main goal: prevent the witches from completing their wicked potion before the sun comes up.

You and your friends will be doing your best to fly by Winifred, Sarah, and Mary on your broomsticks.

Just like in the Hocus Pocus movie, the witch sisters will be casting out spells to try and sabotage your mission. But don't worry! You'll have some help from Thackery Binx the cat, and a few tricks to help you along the way.

The instructions for the game read “Under the light of a full moon on All Hallows’ Eve, you and your friends sneak into the old Sanderson house. On a dare, you light the Black Flame Candle – surely the old stories are just a bunch of hocus pocus. Before you know it, the Sanderson sisters have come back from the dead, ready to brew their terrible potion and suck the lives from the children of Salem. It’s up to you to ruin the witches’ potion and put an end to their terrible deeds forever!”

To sum it up, it’s like you’re stuck inside the Disney movie and have to work your magic to find your way to a happy ending!

As far as the packaging, it's just as exciting as the game itself. It looks like Winifred’s spell book and pictures the Sanderson sisters looking like they're up to no good over their cauldron.

You can order your very own Hocus Pocus game from Ravensburger on Amazon for $19.99. It comes with one cauldron board, 50 Ingredient cards, a Witch board, 13 Spell cards, a Sun token, four trick tokens, a rulebook, and one Binx meeple.

To play the game, you need as little as two people or have a full game night with eight friends total! The recommended age to play is 8-years-old. One round takes about 30 minutes so may I suggest squeezing in a quick game before movie night?!

Instagram user @theghoulmates shared photos of the game you can see below. If you want to be spooked, check out their Halloween podcast with new episodes every week!
