5 Ways To Relax This Weekend For National Relaxation Day

Tomorrow is National Relaxation Day and the perfect opportunity for you to set back and take care of yourself this weekend!

We need it now more than ever.

Here are 5 ways to help yourself relax:

  1. Get a house plant. They can lower your stress levels and improve air quality!
  2. Eat a banana, some citrus, or dark chocolate. The potassium in bananas helps your body regulate blood pressure. Vitamin C in citrus helps with some of the effects of stress on your body. And dark chocolate can reduce stress levels.
  3. Drink green tea sweetened with honey. This combination can help lower your heart rate, blood pressure, and reduce inflammation.
  4. Give yourself a hand massage. If you’re working from home and spending a lot of time on the computer, your hands can get really tense and a massage will loosen them up.
  5. Mow the lawn. This might not sound relaxing but there's a chemical released in that freshly-cut grass smell that makes people feel happy and relaxed!
