Well spring has sprung and if you are looking for the most beautiful blooms in California you might need a little assistance. Since the Draught is returning, we may not see endless rolling hills of California poppies like we did in 2017 and 2019. But we can enjoy What California does have to offer.....Beautiful flowering native Plants Throughout the state.
The good news is there is a hotline to let you know where the prettiest blossoms are happening right now. Since there are so many different factors that can determine where the flowers are blooming, you can find where the wildflowers are by calling the wildflower hotline @ 818 768-1802 ext 7.
The hotline gives weekly wildflower reports refreshed every Friday from March to May. You’ll get the latest updates on the best locations for seeing Wild flowers in Southern and Central California. The hotlines encourages folks to get out in nature and enjoy all the beauty it has to offer but please remember to respect and take care while you're enjoying the blooms. They ask that you stay on the paths, stand on bare ground (not the flowers). Leave the flowers as they are and Take only Photographs.
