Who doesn't love extra toppings on their ice cream?!
Hershey's just recalled Chocolate Toppings after bottles were accidentally filled with nuts! The Hershey Company issued a voluntary recall for its Hershey's Chocolate Shell topping after around 1,700 bottles were incorrectly filled with Heath Shell Topping, which contains almonds. This was posted by the U.S Food and Drug Administration and also on the Hershey's website. Anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to almonds may be at risk of a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product!
In the notice, it states that "situation arose due to an isolated error at a contract manufacturing facility." Hershey then took immediate steps to make sure this never happens again.
At this time, there has been no report of all illness or injury.
