Most people know that if your diet is bad then you can end your life earlier than expected. In 2019 a study of more than 40,000 people published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, here was a 14% higher risk of death associated for every 10% increase due to people eating ultra-processed foods. You probably also know that drinking too much alcohol can also cut your life short at least three decades, according to a recent study.

Besides bad eating habits and taken in too much booze, there are other daily decisions we make that won't affect you immediately but in time will. Some of the unhealthy life style habits are scientifically linked with early death over the course of your life. Night owls or people with a later biological clock and preferred to go to sleep later and wake later, had a 10% higher risk of dying than those who go to bed earlier and wake up earlier.

If you're not sleeping enough in general, you could be hutting yourself and putting yourself at risk of an early death. If you get enough sleep then it will lower your risk of heart disease, depression, and a more stressful life. You'll also tend to eat a better and your chances of exercising will increase. Getting less than 6 hours of sleep per night will give you a higher risk of death while driving a car.
