A wild stunt mishap was all captured through the base jumpers helmet camera, talk about living life on the edge. That's exactly what happened with Johnni Dijulius of Arizona who is no stranger to the daredevil lifestyle. Watch as he jumps off a cliff to only find out that his parachute starts to rip, which causes him to plummet towards a nearby cliff.
The 29 year was able to get his parachute open but since it started to rip it caused him to lose control taking him on a ride for his life. Going down at 50miles per hour he manages to land on the side of a cliff but he was still 50feet above ground.
"I'm hanging on this wall, not in the harness, I'm ungeared," DiJulius said, "and I was just kind of Spidermanned to this wall, right? For like, an hour."
The video shows him clinging to the wall like a human Spiderman, he somehow manages to get to his phone and make a call for help. He lets them know that he's safe just "hung up"
"I can climb down," he says, "but I need to ungear, it's gonna be sketchy."
He still had a challenge ahead of him since he had to climb down the cliff.
"I just freaking huck it, land on my back on this bush," DiJulius said. "I couldn't really turn around. I call it a 'oh crap' jump."
This daredevil is no stranger to living life on the edge having done multiple thrilling stunts he said, this was his closest one yet.
"I walked away with no injuries," DiJulius said, "which is very rare for a, for a jump like that."
He says sometimes you have to play to play. His last injury was in 2019 where he broke his ankle jumping from a cliff in New York. He said this will definitely not be his last jump.
