An inspirational story of an un defeated high school football team made up of deaf players is getting a big gift for all of their recent success of making it to the state championship.
They are from Riverside, Ca and attend California school for the death. They just got word that they will be receiving a new athletics complex as part of the governor's new revised budget which will include a football field.
The team went undefeated last season and reached the schools first state championship. The cubs went 12-1 last season and took the loss against First Baptist of Canoga Park.
Four of the players got to attend the Super Bowl LVI at sofi and got be the captains for the coin toss.
A spokesperson for the governor's office said the $43 million project consists of expanding and replacing the school's existing grass sports fields, specifically its football, track, softball, baseball, and soccer fields as well as lighting, bleachers, and other facilities.
Construction on the complex is set to begin in 2025 and expected to be completed by May 2026.
