Everyone is looking for love in 2022, some look in the wrong places and others try find it in online. Like Patrick Campbell, 32 who went viral on Tiktok after sharing his Tinder love story. His post goes into the romance that took this Scottish man to the U.S.

He made the 5000 mile journey after ending things with his ex which is what inspired him to create his tinder account. He matched with Bridget Kelly, who was from Chicago. After chatting and hitting it off online he decided to make the journey to the U.S. after she invited him to a wedding.

Patrick said of the unlikely dating story: 'Back in January of 2022 after Covid, I fell out with my partner at that time - long story into that one - but I moved on after that and joined Tinder which is one thing I have never used before and I have never had Snapchat in my life at 32 years old.
'So I joined Tinder a couple of months later after using the app. I got a message from somebody I thought was very bonny, very pretty.
He continued: 'I swear it looked like she was from Edinburgh, which really confused me but she isn't. Turned out she was from America - 4,700 miles away in Wisconsin in a place called New Glarus.'

Once matched they both would talk and facetime and found out they had a lot of the same things in common and got along very well. Which is what lead Bridget to invite Patrick to a wedding after chatting a few months. Patrick admits that he was nervous about flying to America for the first time and wasn't sure how the people would be

Rounding off his video he said: 'It's f*****g insane. Its absolutely crazy that this is happening but yeah', reports Glasgow Live.

Bridget shared the moment the two met at the airport on her Tiktok, both had smiles ear to ear and looked so happy to finally meet and hug in person. She also shared a video of the couple exploring Chicago and of course a video of the two at the wedding.

She captioned the clips: 'easily the best date I have ever been on' as the duo were seen laughing hand in hand as they walked through the city.
The couple told FEMAIL: 'Honestly we are just flattered and so thankful for all the people who are inspired by our story.
'We didn’t do this to cause a stir, but we can understand why hearing it has made so many think of Romance books and movies or Rom Coms. We’re a little taken aback by our own story.
'If you told us back in early March this would happen by the end of May neither of us would believe you. But sometimes, you feel inspired, and everything just feels…right. This feels right.'

Th new couple met using the Passport feature on Tinder, which allowed her to match with her Scottish man.
Of course Tiktok users were curious about the successful match and they wanted to know more, leaving comments like...

'Inquiring minds want to know… how does one get a Scottish beau? The American ones are children.'
'Handsome, dresses well, killer tatts, Scottish accent and travelled halfway across the world to see you. Winner 10/10.'
How? Asking for a friend (it's me, I'm the friend.)'

Love is in the air, literally.
