A proposal is an unforgettable moment in a couples life. Some put a lot of effort into the special moment to make sure everything is picture perfect. That was the plan for groom to be Lewis Patterson who planned what he thought would be a perfect proposal until... it wasn't.
The couple was in the south of France over looking the river Dordogne in front of the Chateau de Castelnaud that's when Lewis gets on one knee to pop the big question. Also side note if your a Disney lover you'll know this is the setting for beauty and the beast, so a fairytale moment is definitely about to happen.
Then things quickly turned crappy, literally. When he opened the box to show her the ring, the jewelry goes flying in the air and lands in a big pile of hay and manure.
“She said yes. Right after I dropped the ring in a pile of stable hay and horse s***. It was never going to go to plan with me at the wheel.”
The couple has been together for three years so this was a very exciting moment for the both of them. Once they were able to find the ring the proposal continued. Lewis asked again properly and Nicola accepted. They said they also want to return to the Chateau and have a destination wedding there.
“We couldn’t believe it. She saw the funny side of it luckily and we both haven’t stopped laughing. At least I got to propose to my princess in her Beauty and the Beast village.”
