A Pittsburg teen is being hailed a hero after his quick thinking in using a trampoline to help save residents stuck inside of a burning apartment complex.
Falon O'Regan is the 17 year old who is responsible for saving not only the residents of the building but some of their fur babies as well. He said he had the idea of dragging the trampoline closer to help them down to safety.
"Me and Robert, my neighbor downstairs, had to move the trampoline from the side of the house to the three bedrooms on the last part of the house because they would’ve gotten hurt if we didn't," O'Regan told WXPI.
Some residents went to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation other than that no one was hurt. The cause of the fire was not determined but local fire officials say the blaze started around 1 a.m. Part of the roof collapsed which left about 12 residents displaced from their homes, Red Cross came into assist them with resources during this difficult time.
