A shelter is playing a major part in a senior pit bull's life. Lloyd the 12 year pit bull was brought into the shelter after weeks of wondering the streets.

"We identified a tumor that we believe is cancerous. He's also in end stage kidney failure," said Amy Lewis, executive director of the shelter.
"Despite his ailments he loves life. He loves people. He’s really great with other animals and he’s become quite well-known," she said.

They all decided that they wanted to make sure he lives his best life. The shelter vet said it could be anywhere between 3weeks to 3months. Well now Lloyd and the team at the shelter are working on completing his bucket list.

SPCS posted about it on their social media and its reached the masses, since it was posted Lloyd hasn't had any free days.

Lloyd has been done all sorts of activities like chillin with the penguins, visiting local beaches and parks. The local fire fighters even made him an honorary firefighter. Lloyd is booked and busy all of August.

"I'm super grateful to our community for showing Lloyd so much love," she said.
"We want to make whatever time he has left amazing."

The shelter is even considering making this program permanent.
