Orange Cat Found In Checked Baggage at NYC Airport

An orange cat sneaked its way into a suitcase unbeknownst to the owner who was traveling to Orlando, Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday. When the passenger arrived at JFK Airport, TSA screeners saw the little creature with four paws as the baggage went through the x-ray unit and let it out of the bag.

Apparently, the cat named Smells was not hurt and ended up enjoying Thanksgiving back home in Brooklyn, New York. The only trip Smells went on that day was a return trip to and from JFK Airport.

"On the bright side, the cat's out of the bag," a TSA spokesperson tweeted Tuesday.

The traveler didn't go unto further details, but the cat belonged to someone in the household.

TSA tweeted a new picture of Smells saying, "Apparently Smells was planning to chase after a big mouse he heard was running around Disneyworld."
