Just last Wednesday, Jackie, the bald eagle at Big Bear, laid her first egg of the year.
Over the weekend, she laid her second egg according to the post from Friend of Big Bear Valley and Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam's Facebook page.
Her partner, Shadow, was nearby and kept his distance at first, but she allowed him to guard the eggs for a little bit when she had to fly away.
Shadow seemed nervous looking after the first egg, but when the second egg came along, he was more comfortable.
Jackie normally lays her eggs at the beginning of January and as late as March.
The eggs take about 38 to 39 days to hatch.
