A deadly snowstorm in Western New York did not stop Jay Whitley, 27, from helping others in his community.
It was the day before Christmas Eve when Whitley was traveling in a vehicle during a severe blizzard that killed 40 people.
Cars on the streets were buried in the snow, but Whitley braved the storm to rescue a total of 24 people out of their cars and sheltered them in a nearby school.
His heroic acts did not go unnoticed, and he was surprised with two tickets to next month's Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona by former legendary Buffalo Bills running back Thurman Thomas, his wife Patti and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, which sponsors the football team.
