A farmer in Alabama has been secretly paying it forward for people in his community for 10 years.
Hody Childress, a farmer and U.S. Air Force veteran, has been giving $100 a month to the drug store in his town to help pay for those who can't afford their medicine.
He kept his act of kindness a secret until the day he had to ask his daughter to take over the task and deliver the $100 for him.
Childress gave $100 to Geraldine Drugs every month since 2012 to use for anyone who didn't have the means to pay for their prescriptions on the condition that the pharmacist didn't tell anyone where the money came from.
The pharmacist honored Childress wish until he passed away on January 1st, 2023. Now that family and friends are finding out about this, they've decided to continue his legacy by keeping the pharmacy fund going in his honor.
