Just after six months of dating, Ian Corcoran knew he was going to propose to his then girlfriend Jessica Geralis. But he made sure to make the proposal clever and romantic. Throughout their relationship, he wrote 14 love letters to his girlfriend that secretly spelt out "Will You Marry Me?" Geralis received her first letter with the first word starting with a "W". Then, the next 13 love letters had the remaining characters but out of order. Corcoran did this to ensure his girlfriend couldn't figure out the proposal just yet.

Corcoran made duplicate letters and saved them before putting the letters in a frame for the proposal. He organized all 14 into the correct order and bolded the first word of each letter so Geralis can see the important question big and prominent. On Feburary 15, he finally asked at Palisades Park. Geralis says the final letter was signed "Love, your finance" and looked up to see him on one knee. She said she had no idea and was so surprised, even with them in matching outfits.

Geralis received her first love letter in January 2022 and the remaining over the 3 years they were boyfriend/girlfriend. The couple grew up 15-minutes away from each other before meeting at a mutual friend's house party. After that, the rest was history.
