Influencer Tamie Konzier and her son were eating an Eat'N Park diner in Pittsburgh when they discover their 81-year-old waitress was too poor to retire. Betty is a grandmother of three and was telling customers she needed to work because her government benefits didn't cover her monthly living expenses. Konzier noticed Betty was struggling to walk so posted a video on TikTok sharing her story. She says Betty only makes $910 a month on social security so still has to work. The influencer says any proceeds from the video will be going to Betty through the TikTok Creator Rewards program. However, she won't get a payout from the app until mid-April so has made a GoFundMe in the meantime to have online followers and community pitch in. In less than 24 hours, the page raised over $100,000 and up to $140,000 when Konzier told Betty. The waitress says she's going to cut down her hours but not fully retire since it helps keep her going. Comments are filled with support and love for Betty on both pages. The GoFundMe currently has over $319,000 raised. Click here to see the video Konzier posted!
