A high school couple in Connecticut decided to celebrate their four-month anniversary by sharing random acts of kindness in the community. Liliana Vera and Evan Jekubovich went to Target and picked up flowers, pens, and notecards before driving to Hartford Hospital. They wrote encouraging notes and began to place then with flowers on random car windshields. The seniors wrote messages like "One step at a time" and "You'll get through this" and gave the extra flowers to the parking garage attendant. Vera says they just wanted to inspire others. The couple shared a video of their experience to TikTok and it ended up going viral. Amel Zubeidy was staying at the hospital with her daughter when she received one of the little surprises. She says she felt like someone felt her pain without even knowing anything and that she's not alone. Vera and Jekubovich didn't expect the video to go viral but hope that this sparks a ripple effect of kindness. Below is the video that NBC Connecticut posted of the story.
