A Texas couple decided to give familiar wedding tradition a little twist. Emily Pham-Shirdon and now-husband Lorin Hames Shirdon II were planning their wedding when their coordinator suggested they donate their wedding flowers to a nursing home after the celebration. At first she offered to take them herself but the couple insisted they took care of it. Emily called Villa Toscana in Houston to schedule the drop off for the day after their wedding for the flowers to be good and fresh. She said it was an honor to brighten someone's day. The couple captured the experience and posted it to TikTok reaching over 330,000 people. A couple days later, Emily called the nursing home to see how the flowers were used. The activity director said they decorate the community and public areas for the residents to enjoy the arrangements. The newlyweds plan to donate portions of food, drinks, or decorations from future parties. Here's the TikTok Emily posted!
