Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Her Terrifying Fall

After 6 months after a terrifying fall, causing Carrie Underwood to take a healing break.

Now fast forward, she has returned to the studio and the stage.

Her first performance back was when she took the stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April.

It resulted in cheers, tears and standing ovation.

She stated " When you're singing something that is straight from your heart, it's easy to just be in the moment and be connected to it. I never realized how much it translates until after the ACM awards, it was like wow, you know there was something different about that performance."

Her fall resulted in a broken wrist and an injury to her face that required more than 40 stitches.

She said it was plain and simple, just kind of a freak accident. It could of happened to anybody.

For Underwood, it was a frightening moment that left her filled with uncertainty. She wasn't sure how things were going to end up.

But, if you've seen her after the accident you notice that just looks just as amazing as ever!

Now, she is back to singing, songwriting and even getting back to the gym.
