Concerned Parent Discovers Users Can Watch Porn In Library

A San Fernando mom was a very concerned when saw a man watching porn on a computer at the Encino-Tarzana branch library. When she told the librarian, her response was shocking to her.

Natalie Zangan, the mom of four told told Fox 11, “She says, ‘I’m sorry there is absolutely nothing I can do, and I said to her ‘but listen he’s sitting right next to where the kids are walking back and forth.’”

Natalie says her daughter caught a glimpse of the porn on the computer screen, which led to many questions. "She says ‘but I don’t understand you always say private parts needs to be kept private, why was she showing it to everyone and why were they videotaping it?’" Zangan said.

It is completely legal for this to happen; if public library computers blocked porn, it would violate the First Amendment. In 2011, Los Angeles City County passed this law.

Do you think the law should be changed, or do you agree it would violate the First Amendment?
