'Mermaiding' Is The Latest Fitness Trend

Mermaiding is a rising trend to tone down.

It's a new workout series gaining popularity on YouTube that offers an 8-week "transformation course" -- which involves swimming in a pool with mermaid tails.

 Mermaiding focuses on core training, which makes it so effective. This workout was created by Christine Dustin, a certified USA Swimming coach. "Like swimming, Mermaiding is a full-body workout, but it especially focuses on the core muscles,” Dustin explained, "Water provides a resistance you don't get on land, while also giving a low-impact environment that leads to few injuries. The workout strengthens your heart, increases your lung capacity, and improves your flexibility."

It's a fun and easy workout that can be done by everyone, whether you're 9 or 90!
