Blake Shelton Says Gwen Stefani Didn't Feel His Sexiest Man Alive Power

PEOPLE just announced that Idris Elba is their 2018 Sexiest Man Alive. This means that Blake Shelton's 2017 title and reign is coming to an end.

Just before the announcement of the new Sexiest Man Alive, Blake Shelton sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on her show. They talked about passing on his title to someone new, and what his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, thought about him holding the title.

Shelton shared with Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show "I feel like sexy ends when I'm not 'Sexiest Man Alive' anymore. I don't feel like it exists anymore, I feel like it's over."

When he first received the 2017 title, Shelton had a lot of backlash from social media users. At this time, Shelton did not know who would be the new title holder but he wished them better luck than he had.

Ellen brought up that with such a big title comes big expectations and asked if Gwen suddenly expected more from him. Shelton responded by laughing and saying "She did. It's supposed to be like a superpower, or whatever. I don't think she felt the power."

After showing photos of the couple to the audience, Shelton said "Can you believe that she's with me? What is wrong with her? There's something wrong with her."
