Netflix Asks Viewers Not To Participate In "Bird Box" Challenge

If you've been on the internet lately, you've probably seen every Bird Box meme, or people talking about the new Netflix film.

Ever since the film becoming so popular, viewers are willingly blindfolding themselves and walking around outside in the real world just like the characters.

I think people are forgetting that this is just a movie!

The #BirdBoxChallenge was created by fans to mimic the actions in the movie.

Everyday you are supposed to do every day tasks blindfolded.

Then you are to upload videos of your results to social media.

Once Netflix became aware of this, they released a statement.

It read: "Can't believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don't know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes."

Please be safe!
