Lots of changes coming around this year.
Now, A Colorado school district will go from a five day week to a four day week starting in August.
The district plans on saving money but some parents will have to pay a little more for child care.
Chris Fiedler the District's Superintendent believes that this is going to attract teachers and keep them and he hasn't heard anyone say that this was a bad idea.
He believes that the four day week will reorganize and create time to support teacher development and preparedness.
Fiedler said “I realize this will be a significant change for our students, their families, and the communities we are so fortunate to serve, but our district can no longer be expected to do more with less financial resources."
Since there will be one less day of needed buses, the distract estimates to save around $700,000.
