Last night was a big night for Rami Malek.
He took home the award for Best Actor in Bohemian Rhapsody which ended up taking four of its five nominations.
Malek took on the role of Freddie Mercury.
After his speech, he was criticized for not mentioning Mercury's sexuality or his expedience living with HIV and dying from AIDS.
So last night at the Oscars he said "We made a film about a gay man, an immigrant, who lived his life just unapologetically himself," Malek said in the midst of his speech. "The fact that I'm celebrating him and this story with you tonight is proof that we're longing for stories like this."
So the internet went crazy over the fact that Malek addressed Mercury as a "gay man."
What do you think of this?
