LA Angels Pitcher Tyler Skaggs Passes Away At Age 27

Such sad, sad news.

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs was found dead on Monday at a North Texas hotel.

He was in town for a series against the Texas Rangers when they found him.

According to the police officers in the area, he was unresponsive at the Hilton Hotel and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no foul play suspected.

As of right now, there will be a autopsy to determine the cause of his death.

After finding out this news, the Angels tweeted out a brief statement.

It read “It is with great sorrow that we report Tyler Skaggs passed away earlier today in Texas. Tyler has, and always will be, an important part of the Angels family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carli and his entire family during this devastating time.”

Out of respect, of course the game was postponed due to Tyler's sudden death. his death and still do not have a cause at this moment.

On the Fourth of July Skaggs was scheduled to start against the Rangers.

After hearing the news of his death, the Rangers released a statement as well.

They stated "The Texas Rangers organization wants to express its deepest sympathies to the family of Tyler Skaggs and to the entire Angels organization on this shocking loss. The thoughts and prayers of every member of the Texas Rangers and all of their fans are with the Angels organization at this difficult time. Tonight’s game will be made up at a date to be determined."

Fans are leaving memorabilia in front of Angels Stadium in Anaheim.

Skaggs just tied the knot seven months ago and would of turned 28 next week on July 13th.

We are thinking of his family, friends and team during this time.
