Starbucks Will No Longer Sell Newspapers In Their Cafes

If you stop by your local Starbucks in the mornings to read the newspaper with a hot cup of coffee, that's about to change.

Come September 1st, Starbucks will stop selling newspapers at their locations.

It's also been said that they will also be getting rid of the shelving fixtures that display whole bean coffee and grab-and-go snacks.

According to Pew Research Center, they estimated that weekday circulation of print newspapers fell 12% last year.

This news was first heard by The New York Post.

They reported that Starbucks plans to stop selling newspapers at their 8,600 company owned stores.

According to Sanja Gould who is a spokeswoman for Starbucks, she stated "We are always looking at what we offer our customers in our stores and making adjustments to our portfolio based on changing customer behavior."

Since media is always changing, more customers are reading news online.

Digital circulation has jumped 6% within the last year.

Do you think this is a good idea?
