McDonald's is next in like to test out plant-based burgers. As of right now, they are testing out Beyond Meat patties at certain locations in Canada.
28 different restaurants will be getting the P.L.T. which stands for Plant, Lettuce and Tomato! The trial will last 12 weeks and begin on September 30th.
They are one of the last of the few food chains that have been adding the Beyond Meat to their menu's.
Instead of adapting one of their burger options, they are completely creating the P.L.T. as a new item from scratch. They want to assure that the flavors work with the patty and that people will enjoy eating it!
